Beautiful views this morning as we hug the coastline of far, far North Queensland, with many dainty little islands dotted around and our reef pilot gave us a commentary from the Bridge - around 11am we start rounding the Tip of Cape York Peninsula, which is the most northerly point of Australia. Then we start to head west through the Torres Straits
Back for some more punishment in the Vista Lounge for Trivia and we are joined by an extra couple (oh goody!!) - again it was very enjoyable but not good enough…. The answer to the link between, "Carnation, Elephant, Panther & Snooker Ball" is of course, PINK.
We arranged to meet friends of friends from home for afternoon tea, and we had a great chat – they are also caravanners – last cruise we organized a caravaners get together but I think most of the ship would turn up, so we'll leave that one alone, or at least for someone else to organize. Where does the day disappear as it was then time for our afternoon walk – at least I'm up to 10 laps again – Colin must do close to 20.
Our neighbouring dining guests didn't join us as they had others join them but 2 chairs have been taken away, so we don't feel so quite so sparse. The show tonight was Shimmy, by the Princess singers and dancers and it was again very good.
PHOTOS: Views from the Promenade Deck of far North Queensland, just before rounding the Tip; One of my favourite subjects – the wake that is!!
