Day 27 - Monday, 8th Oct. - Sea Day

We're on our way now to Yokohama, our last port in Japan and as we will arrive tomorrow, it means another sea day – just what we need to recuperate after that gruesome "challenge" yesterday.  No news again today from Goodwill Assoc., as it was a public holiday.

Mark & Dave on the Wake Show are collecting inexpensive items - I was going to say trashy souvenirs but our girl definitely is not - so we have donated a "Waving Kitty", who is now featured, along with a few others, on the show.  The Captain is going to judge the best somewhere down the track, so I hope Kitty is still waving and smiles very nicely when she is on parade!!

It's a bit bumpy again today and not nice outside, so after cards (boys still in the lead) we did a bit of catching up with everything and did manage after more washing, to get in a movie "The Vow", which was very good and in the theatre we went over some very big speed humps!!  Not much else to report, just sat around with friends tonight so will leave this day with a romantic quote:

"….throw off the bowlines.  Sail away from the safe harbor.  Catch the trade winds in your sails.  Explore.  Dream.  Discover."

– Robert N. Rose

Sweet dreams!!
