Day 34 - Monday, 15th Oct. - Sea Day

For reasons beyond our control, two photos from yesterday didn't find their way onto the blog, so will add them to this missive.

Well, the girls did it this morning at cards – another massive win, so it's 2-1.  However, we are now going to try a different way of partnering and keeping individual scores, and it's working well.

Lots and lots of good things are happening as per usual on a sea day – if nothing else we must not miss the Fruit Flaming Buffet at Horizons!!  $$Snowball Jackpot Bingo$$ still stands at $5,050 at 47 numbers – just hoping it still stands on the last day – 'cause we'll be there!!  We also crossed the Equator today around 1pm which, of course, means we're back in the southern hemisphere.

The lead singer of the Sun Princess Singers and Dancers, Darian Taschner, put on her first solo show ever this afternoon in the Princess Theatre at 4.30pm.  She was extremely good and after finishing a wonderful operatic aria, had a standing ovation, which made her very coy and excited.

It was a beautiful night on Deck 12 for the Captains Circle Cocktail Party where we enjoyed some drinkies on the Captain and had a most enjoyable hour with just about everyone on the ship!!  After dinner we decided not to go to the show but listened to Derringer in the Wheelhouse Bar, at one stage we were the only ones and she asked us for a request, Colin suggested 'Yesterday' which they played and then Colin suggested 'That Boy', also by The Beatles – Colin was showing his age, as they hadn't heard of it!!!

New Guinea tomorrow, another new country for us and so looking forward to our day there in Rabaul…..

PHOTOS:   2 Photos from last post that went astray – boat building challenge & the other half of our CC's lunch;  Where's Poppa;  Crew at work;  Beautifully calm water & pretty cloud formation;  Jude enjoying her cocktail at the Captain's Circle Cocktail Party;  The throngs also enjoying the CCCP;  Our Captain 'on the bridge'
